Hey there!

I wanted to tell you about my upcoming show– it’s a big one. I am performing at Live from the Divide on Friday, April 26th at 7 pm in Bozeman, Montana. This show is my Montana State University undergraduate senior defense. It has been on the horizon for nearly three years and I can feel the excitement and anticipation overflowing.

The project:

My degree reflects the non-traditional path I have taken through college. I am graduating from the Directed Interdisciplinary Studies program which allows students to combines disciplines of their choosing into one major. My project combines music, writing, literature, and business to perform a live show of all-original songs. The music and writing are meant to focus on songwriting and lyricism, while the business portion relates to how a musician manages, promotes, and operates a small business.

The band:

I am lucky to have an incredibly talented band supporting me through this performance. My brother, Bridger Dunnagan, who is coming from Asheville, NC, will be playing banjo, fiddle, and vocals. I will have two Bozeman-based artists joining me as well. My friend Kailee Failla will be on guitar and vocals, and Isaac Winemiller will be playing the upright bass as well as vocals. I will be playing guitar and singing. We will be playing eight songs that I have written over the last seven years.

The show:

We will be performing eight original songs that I have written. The show is already at capacity, however, if you want to try and walk in the evening of the show, you are welcome to see if there is room– there is no cover. If you aren’t already planning to attend, or there is no room, I will have both an audio recording from the show, as well as a video released post-performance.

I am in awe that this show is less than a week away, I have been trying to imagine this moment for years now. I am sure it will be everything, and nothing like I have imagined. I feel I am fulfilling a childhood dream through this degree. I am very proud of myself and I can’t wait to get on the stage and share my music.

In the meantime:

Follow me to hear about future shows post-graduation. I will keep on writing songs and performing after I close this academic chapter. Also, stay tuned for a video to be released in the next coming days.
